What is Spiritual Direction?
Cell phones, texting, telephone, television, computer, download, podcast, ipod, iphone, ipad, etc. Oprah, Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, 4Marks, social networking, self help, Dr. Phil, Wayne Dyer, counsellor, psychologist, psychiatrist, doctor, lawyer, neighbor, sister, brother, one more person to talk to you about your problems.
There is a proliferation of noise making gadgets in the world, and voices to chime in about our problems, how can we possibly hear God? Spiritual Direction is the art and relational practice of exploring a closer relationship with God. Spiritual Directors help you understand how God is, and possibly God is not, working in your life.
Spiritual Directors encourage and even push you into a closer relationship with God. God seeks you like a red hot lover in a disciplined love that respects who we are, where we are and what we need in life.

"At a time when I felt disconnected from God, Mark Kurowski helped me find a road back to my faith. Through Bible study, through other readings he suggested, but most particularly through his genuine interest in me as a human being, I came to understand my own worth as a child of God - and my responsibilities as well. Mark once explained that, "It is not enough to know the will of God. You must do the will of God." It is clear to me that Mark lives by his creed and, in do doing, has brought me to Christ through his example.
I now teach Sunday School. I am a Boy Scout leader. I coach. But if any member of my church has ever thought me as a Godly man, it is because Mark gave me the courage to give myself over to Christ and to let His strength and His passion flow through me to serve His ends."
